During the COVID-19 pandemic, there are several things you should do to protect yourself.

Wearing a mask. A mask stops most viruses from spreading, even if it's expensive, so wear it when you go out. If there aren't many cases in your area, you can take it off in non-public places.

Wash your hands frequently. Both soap (theoretically) and 75% medical alcohol are effective at killing SARS-CoV-2. You can wash your hands with a no-wash hand sanitizer made with 75% medical-grade alcohol, which will also help prevent COVID-19 to some extent.

Monitor your health on a daily basis. If you experience any of the following symptoms.

- Fever

- Fatigue

- Dry cough

Go to a COVID-19 designated hospital or nucleic acid testing site immediately for nucleic acid testing, do not contact anyone during this period, wear a mask and do not eat at all times.

Please note that some diagnosed patients have also experienced the following symptoms.

- Congestion nose

- Runny nose

- Sore throat

- Diarrhea

- Chills

- Shortness of breath

- Difficulty breathing

- Muscle or body aches

- Headache

- New loss of taste or smell

- Nausea or vomiting

If you have the following symptoms, CALL 911 or the emergency service number in your area IMMEDIATLY.

- Trouble breathing

- Persistent pain or pressure in the chest

- New confusion

- Inability to wake or stay awake

- Bluish lips or face

Turn on "Exposure Notification". If you're using an iPhone, you can enable it by upgrading your iPhone to iOS 13.7 and installing the Exposure Notification app for your region; if you're using an Android phone, you can enable it by upgrading your Android phone to Android 6 Marshmallow and enabling Google Play.

Please note: If you are in the mainland China region, then only iPhone and Huawei phones can enable it.

If you are infected with COVID-19. If you are unfortunate enough to be infected with COVID-19, actively cooperate with treatment and report it to the public health authority in your area on the Exposure Notification.
